The story thus far...
Grace and Simon, two teenage tearaways, have discovered a passage to Reality in the basement of The tré (a tiny theatre in their miniscule town of Otterstow). Unfortunately, they have accidentally trapped themselves and cannot return, although they don't seem to be in any hurry to do so.
Ignatius (the mayor of Otterstow) suspects this is the case and has enlisted the aid of the parents; Slide, Sandra, Pete and Gina. None of the adults have figured out how to open the passage, which seems to involve a mysterious box that they can't open.
What's going on right now:
Grace and Simon are exploring the Rialto, which is the theatre on the other side of the passage.
Simon suspects the mysterious glass booth from the previous page is for drying off after a bath. Grace seems sceptical. Now they're fiddling around with the bathtub.
About the page...
Grace is making an indecent proposal to Simon.
I'm an experimenter by nature. I think that's why I would be very bad at something like pro sports. A golfer can consistently hit a ball the same way each time and they all land with a dozen meters of each other. Me, when I'm at the driving range, I'm thinking thoughts like "I wonder if I can get 200 meters with a putter?" With each page that I create, even if it's in the same room, I'm always tweaking the lights or something. You probably don't notice, which is good, I suppose. Compare the shadows on this page with the previous couple of pages - use the raw pictures (click on Grace and Simon under the tree). See a difference?

"Yeah, like when it hasn't been on for ages. Sort of a burny smell."
"I think it's for drying off after a bath," Simon conjectured.
"Oh, behave, Si. What a ridiculous idea."
"It's what it says on the box. And this is the room where one would take baths. If one were to dry fur, then one must have wet fur and this is the room where that happens."
Grace let this idea soak in for a moment. "Come to think of it, Dad has mentioned that some of the rich types in Big Smoke have something like this."
"And I'll bet that bath has hot running water, just like the kitchen." He turned the hot and cold knobs. There was a bit of squawk from the pipes and then a splutter or two, but hot and cold water did come out, just as Simon predicted.
"Bleeding enormous tub," Grace observed.
The two of them watched the water begin to fill the tub. There was a prolonged silence apart from the running water.
Grace looked at Simon and gave him a nudge.
"Huhn?" Simon said, coming out his daze.
Grace was wearing a truly wicked smile. "Wanna take a bath?"
